Riffy is an award-winning Writer/Director, and Visual Artist based in London. She trained as a visual artist at Central Saint Martins and graduated with a master's in Directing fiction at NFTS (National Film & Television School) with a full scholarship from Channel 4 in 2020.
Her work has been screened at Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals and the art world. Her career highlights include being selected for the H.Club Foundation's Emerging Creative for Film and TV (2016/2017), featured as one of Channel 4's Spotlight Directors in 2018, and serving as a WFTV All Nations England mentee in 2022. She was also recognized as a Circa X Dazed Finalist (Class of 2022), shortlisted for the 1.4 Awards, and selected for BIFA Springboard 21/22 and BAFTA Connect.
Most recently, she participated in the BAFTA-winning TOP BOY Season 3 (Netflix/Wells Street Films) director mentoring scheme, where she shadowed Myriam Raja and directed second unit work. Directors UK Inspire cohort 2024/25, mentored by Mahalia Belo, as she develops her debut feature film, and is currently on the Breakthrough Leaders 2025 cohort with the TV Collective.
Her latest short film, 'The Call,' supported by BFI Network and starring Jo Martin and Amarah-Jae St. Aubyn, has screened at numerous festivals and is currently available on Omeleto and Minute Shorts.
Riffy loves to tell stories about ‘unlikely heroes’ we don’t always see on the big screen with focus on characters at turning point in their lives and the choices they make to survive. Her work particularly centers women and diaspora identities, employing an eclectic, genre-blending approach through visceral storytelling techniques.
